Michael N. Brown

Michael N. Brown has been practicing law in Oklahoma since 1983. Mr. Brown served as a Russian linguist aboard submarines in the United States Navy and obtained his B.A. degree in Russian language from Indiana State University. Mr. Brown received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1983.
Mr. Brown has considerable experience in courts across Oklahoma, having successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of banking law, bankruptcy, defamation, real estate litigation, complex commercial litigation, securities fraud, civil rights, personal injury and legal malpractice. Mr. Brown has handled a number of appeals to the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit, resulting in several published and unpublished decisions, including William Price-Curtis v. Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education, 147 F.3d 1200 (10 Cir. 1998). Mr. Brown has served on the Board of Directors of First Enterprise Bank and was elected President of the Canadian County Bar Association.
Mr. Brown has also been a lecturer at legal seminars and is the author of the article, The Admissibility of OSHA Regulations and Industry Standards in a Products Liability Case. Mr. Brown has served as a Mock Trial Attorney Advisor for Piedmont and Putnam City West High Schools. Mr. Brown has enjoyed for many years the highest possible rating, “AV” from Martindale-Hubbell. This rating indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards. Mr. Brown is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Brown is a member of the Oklahoma and Oklahoma County Bar Associations.
